Uno, Dos, Tres...

Uno for one tooth! That's right I have my first tooth on the bottom left side.

Dos bobos...=( I got my new walker and Morning Guy took me outside to walk, on concrete. He did not, however, put any shoes or socks on me and both my feet are bloody. The Cuddler was napping during this time and DOES NOT seem happy about these developments.

Tres for the number of dates that I have recently!

A dinner date with the lovely Morgan T

A play date at my place with little Riley

And my older lady, Sarah Spencer

So many ladies, so little time.

Later Alligator...

That is what I told the Cuddler before she left for Boston. I hear my cold is kicking her butt and that it is cold and raining. Oh, and the wind broke her new umbrella and her diet coke habit is getting expensive at $5 a piece. I think she will be glad to get home. Maybe I should send her the brain sucker to help her with the cold?

ACKKK! Help!

The Cuddler is trying to suck my brains out!!! I have a cold and she keeps sticking a device up my nose and trying to suck my brains out. She claims that she is trying to get out mucus, but I don't believe her. I mean mucus comes out my nose on its own. I tried to bring her down by giving her my cold. It has slowed her down but not stopped her. I hear she is leaving for a while and leaving me with Morning Guy. I don't think that Morning Guy will try to suck my brains out, becuase he gags a little every time she does it. I pray she leaves soon.

Much love, a sickly (hopefully not brainless) Plum

ode to my Nonnie

Today is my Nonnie's birthday. We think she is pretty fabulous. She comes over on Wednesday nights and stays with us so I can get a break from The Cuddler and Morning Guy. I always enjoy the change of pace.

She thinks that I hung the moon. If I am ever charged with a crime, she will be driving the white bronco slowly in the left hand lane during the police chase. Well, she always drives slowly in the left hand lane.
We love you! Don't be jealous PawPaw, I love you too.

every boy needs a dog...

and mine is named Addison.

Izzy and Addison.

Izzy is the Cuddler's dog. The Cuddler loves her so much. Izzy never leaves her side, but she doesn't even seem to notice that I am here. Unlike, Addison.

Addison between me and the Cuddler. Ignore the Cuddler's horrible outfit.

Addison standing guard to my left.

Addison giving me a little more space but still guarding.

You think the offspring of an engineer/attorney and accountant is the poster child for getting beat up at school. Well, you just meet me in my front yard and you better bring it. Because it will be you verses the two of us.

Addison sits in one of two places at all times 1) by our window in the kitchen so she can keep a constant watch on things and alert the Cuddler to the slightest threat or 2) at our front door where she physically blocks the door.

Izzy on the other hand is strictly the Cuddlers and sleeps by the hallway so she is as close as possible to the Cuddler.

Much Love, One very well protected Plum

Faith. Do you have it?

I had everyone in a tizzy with the results of my first CT scan. We are a God fearing family. Accordingly, we prayed and asked others for prayer. Sometimes faith and prayer can come from surprising places. I would like to share a powerful note that exemplifies faith.

A very faithful, Godly women named Bessie Nell Jones made my beautiful bedding. My Nonnie shared the results of the first CT with Bessie Nell. Bessie Nell didn't just say a prayer for me before she went to bed, like the Cuddler, or when she woke up, like Morning Guy. Here is Bessie Nell's letter to my Nonnie:

Beckey,

After I talked to you the other day, I called my pastor, and we prayed, and in Sunday School, and again in worship service yesterday prayer went up again and this prayer cloth anointed and prayed over by the church. I am believing God has already taken care of the situation.

P.S. Let me know, what God has already done.

There was a prayer cloth in closed that read:
And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul; so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Acts 19:11-12.

What faith Bessie Nell has in God. She didn't doubt for one second that God had me in his protective hands and had already answered her prayers. Thank you, Bessie Nell. I think we could all be more like her.

Here is a picture of her beautiful work.

a very fine boy

I am a very fine boy with a big beautiful head. I have been to the children's hospital and heard it from a neurosurgeon. It doesn't get much more authoritative than that, now does it? I kept telling the Cuddler that I was fine, but she insisted that we follow up with the neurosurgeon per Dr. W's orders. I think the Dr. enjoyed delivering our good news, because I don't think he gets to do that a lot.

In addition to touting my fineness, the neurosurgeon told the Cuddler that I needed more tummy time so my lopsided melon head would round out. Well, I have been showing her, I just roll right on over to my back and smile slyly at her.

As great as it was to hear that I am a very fine boy, it made me sad to see other children that were not going to get such great news. It made me even sadder that some of their parents spoke harshly to them and handled them roughly. The Cuddler and Morning Guy have their faults, but their words to me are always kind and their touch always gentle. If I ever feel like I'm having a rotten day, I will remember children who are not as lucky.

So, I am up to 17 pounds and 10 ounces and am 27 inches long!!! That puts me in 9-12 month clothes and makes me one very big boy with a beautiful head. Here are some pictures of this very fine head...

She is always cuddling and loving on me. Here is another one of me in Christening bonnet.

Won't one of you rescue me from this torture?
