Oh, that's right. All you people are on vacation to places like Disney, Washington D.C., New Orleans, and mostly the beach. Seriously, not one of you wanted to take the Plum with you? I understand from the Cuddler that she has propagated the rumor that I am not a good car rider. I beg your pardon? Maybe that is why she is with holding a vacation from me. I mean Morning Guy went to Destin, FL without us last week? We could not have tagged along to see the beach? The Cuddler gave me some lame excuse about how far it was down there and too many people. blah, blah, blah. I hear I'm headed to the lake for a long weekend next month with Julia, but I will believe it when I see the dock.
My PawPaw has promised to take me to the beach for his BIG birthday this year. I know he won't let me down.
Love, a left out Plum

fathers and fishing
We have been missing in action lately. The Cuddler worked Vacation Bible School last week, and I do mean worked. There was no time to blog with her doing her Jesus work. So, in exciting news, the Cuddler's foot is starting to heal. In bad news, on Father's day, I fell down on the concrete at Non and PawPaw's while I was pushing my dump truck and this is how I look.
We got Morning Guy these ridiculous shoes for Father's Day.
He is LOVIN them! Happy Father's Day to Morning Guy. We love you!
We cannot celebrate Father's Day without thanking and loving my PawPaw. He may have loved the Cuddler first, but I think he loves me more. Just don't tell the Cuddler.
The Cuddler went to spend the night with my Mamaw a week or so a go, and they were looking through some of the pictures and keepsakes that were salvaged from her house. One of the treasures that Mamaw shared with the Cuddler was this precious newspaper article from about 1961.
Please notice that lots of the kids got "feel good" awards. My PawPaw did not get a feel good award. He got the real award. The most fish. We do not celebrate feel good awards around. We celebrate actual accomplishments. Yay 10 year old PawPaw!

My Plum
To my dearest Plum,
We have been doing breathing treatments at least once a day for over a year now. I look forward to and pray for the day when you no longer need these treatments. It is not something that I enjoy doing, but they do afford me moments that I would not otherwise share with you.
You really don't like doing them for me. At daycare, Mrs. Aly says you handle them like a champ. I bring out the worst in you when we do home treatments.
So, I do the treatments after you have gone to sleep. I slip into you room once Morning Guy is in bed and you are sound asleep. I lift you out of your crib and cuddle you close to me. I sit in your recliner with you scooped into my arms. I breath in your sweet curls and feel your warm breath on my cheek. Your heavy head rests soundly on my chest. I swear in these moments it is like you are speaking to my soul. My life is complete. I am content.
You are my love.

a four letter word...
I have a new favorite word.
A four letter word.
The Cuddler and Morning Guy do not know where I heard this word.
They do not like it when I use this word.
m.i.n.e.
