Morning Guy and I went down with the stomach virus Saturday night. The Cuddler's Pilot was a also a casualty as we both got sick driving home from my Non and PawPaw's on the side of Hwy 27. We have spent today recuperating. The Cuddler has spent the day cleaning and sanitizing.

On her list of things to do before another round with the stomach virus:
1. buy more towels
2. buy a better washer and dryer

Morning Guy says that our mascot for this misadventure would be the Yak!

In the news this week...

Bad news, I have croup and had to go the emergency room Sunday night.
Good news, I got an epinephrine breathing treatment and decahedron shot to help open my airway and I am feeling much better.

Bad news, the Cuddler got the stomach virus Monday night.
Good news, she slept 13 hours Tuesday night and is feeling better.

Bad news, my Mamaw fell and broke her hip last week.
Good news, we finally caught her cat, Willie, who has been living in the air conditioning unit since the tornado hit their house April 15.

Bad news, the Cuddler snapped her left index finger in a mouse trap, twice. It is black now.
Worst news, we have mice!

Bad news, I fell in the parking lot of the hospital and am banged up.
Good news, I have been telling everyone that Morning Guy pushed me down, and I get lots of sympathy.



BEST NEWS: Kirill is going home with his family!!! Is there any sweeter news than that of a child who is united with his family?

Expectation management

Expectation management is important. That is why I have chosen to clearly lay out what "Sugar Plum" is and what it is not. I do not want you to be disappointed when you come here. If you are, then you should stop coming. I mean, I don't get paid for this so there will be no hard feelings.

I have heard a lot lately about blogs putting on airs and not "being real." Allow me to clearly delineate the purpose of SP. SP is for fun. SP is not about me whining about my job [weight, housework, decrepit dog, bad self-tan or stickers in my grass], putting down my husband or airing any of my other dirty laundry in public. I only confide in God, JR, my mama, and my closest girlfriends. If you want to know the nitty-gritty dirty details of my life, edge one of those on the above mentioned list out. Good luck, God, husband and mama are not going to give up easily.

I will, however, tell self-depreciating stories about my tribulations and failures as a mother, and I hope they are taken in the respectful [to the Plum] and grateful [to God] way that they are intended.
