He's already surpassed me intellectually! ;) hahaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06637067686497890386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918771698572659623.post-66203071626429625642012-06-11T10:39:10.187-05:002012-06-11T10:39:10.187-05:00Hey sweet lady!

You are doing what God has asked you to do and following His direction is what is of most importance.

I had a major freak out a few months ago when our adoption group was talking about attachment, cacooning and bonding. Our agency is really big on cacooning and with all of Gabe's therapies and not having anyone in Houston to help us out, I was losing my mind over not being able to stay in our house for a few weeks/months.

And then I remembered adoption, while good for my family, is not about me. It's about sharing God's redemptive love and the love of a family with a child who may not know either. And Alissa, anyone who reads your blog knows thaere is a whole lot of God's love.

Follow your heart and follow God's leading. The books are a good start, but not for everyone.

XOMeredithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15314508768032651131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918771698572659623.post-72428580653473999222012-06-10T14:58:27.635-05:002012-06-10T14:58:27.635-05:00I told you to stop reading those books!! The truth is that Sam is blessed to have you, JR and JH to call him family...and that's all you need to focus on.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01968262391518443251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4918771698572659623.post-20036509079807093002012-06-09T12:32:43.813-05:002012-06-09T12:32:43.813-05:00I think you are an amazing mom! Who cares about those stupid books? I have thrown all of the stupid books out the window with Vera... especially BabyWise... no book takes into account the fact that every single child and every single parent does not fit a MOLD and there is no situation alike. You totally have to make things work for you and your family the best way you know how and march to the beat of your own little band! :) I am praying for you guys and your sweet growing little family!J Hammerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05069396909938387572noreply@blogger.com
